A double boiler is needed to melt the wax for molding purposes. The pouring temperature is very important. Pouring hotter wax will produce the best results.
It is also important to know that rooms that are warm and humid require different pouring temperatures than rooms that are cold and damp.
You will need a thermometer to measure the temperature of the wax. It should be able to measure 100-350 degrees Fahrenheit.
You can use candle dyes to personalize your candle's look. These come in different forms; liquids, flakes and blocks. You can stir in your dye once the wax is hot.
